   I don’t know where it originated from or how it’s been tested, but the basic premise is that you attract energy from the universe, and basically what you think about is what you attract. So to get what you want in life, you need to send those thoughts out for the universe to pick up on. But it works about anything you think about, so you don’t want to think about what you don’t want.

   law of attraction is the theory of if you believe and hope for things to happen than they will come to you.
   like visualizing yourself thin if you are overweight and eventually you will bring in “thinness” and you’ll loose weight.
   that’s the best way i can describe it.
   It’s a lot like when people say “if you’re positive than positive things will happen to you”

   The law of attraction says that if you don’t have any legs then all you have to do is visualize yourself having legs and the universe will bring them to you.

   Edit:

   It also claims that the reason you don’t have legs is because you’ve attracted leglessness to your life. There is nothing but attraction so what you’ve attracted (or contracted…lol) is totally your fault.

   It’s a relatively simple concept, which is that whatever energy you send out into the Universe, is what energy you will attract into your life. Some people “use” the Law of Attraction by sending out energy to attract what they want in their life.

   Remember when you were a little kid and thought that if you wished hard enough, you could turn into a princess (or whatever). That’s the law of attraction…

   It has been tested by thousands of dupes but “verified”, only by those who are selling the system (which just about says it all, don’t you think?)

   Well if you are talking about “The Secret”………it just means……that which you hold in your mind to be TRUE……..produces an energy within your sub-conscious mind. It is believed that the SUB Conscious MIND is part of the Collective universal mind and therefore everything from the BIG BANG moment is all connected.—-since it all STEMS from the same common POINT it is connected in a form known to some as MIND and therefore everything that EVER HAPPENED and WILL is all the same THING….as if Everything since the Beginning of TIME or BIG BANG or Whatever you wish to call it IS ONE THING purely Spherical Like the shape of the Planet the SUN etc……..all ONE THING and therefore what you believe has an ENERGY that attracts like things to it. It is really pretty simple once you see how nothing can be completely separate from any thing else, and that our THOUGHTS are a form of ENERGY which can neither be created nor destroyed and therefore ETERNAL………..etc.

    The Law of Attraction says people’s thoughts (both conscious and unconscious) dictate the reality of their lives, whether or not they’re aware of it. Essentially “if you really want something and truly believe it’s possible, you’ll get it”, but putting a lot of attention and thought onto something you don’t want means you’ll probably get that too.

    Test it, you will find it unverifyable. However, I have had some success in my youth with conceptualization of goals. The discipline I used is outlined in the book “Psycho-Cybernetics”. Basically it is self hypnotism.
    I wouldn’t try it now, as I believe it unGodly.

    However, I will say that the things you SAY are important in the spiritual realm and affects your life on earth.

    1st Corinthians 14:15 So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air.

    1st Corinthians 14:16 There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them [is] without signification.

    Ephesians 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

    Satan is the prince of the power of the air, and we speak into the air, so what we say either gives him power to affect us, or restrains him (Prayer in Christ restrains him)

    We should always be careful what we say

    James 3:6 And the tongue [is] a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

    James 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; [it is] an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

    It is better to keep quiet.
