Christians, why do devoted Buddhists experience a kind of peace and joy similar to believers in Christ?
Is it a lower level peace and joy that the Buddhists are actually experiencing? Or is it an illusion?

Yes, I know that. I think they have peace and joy. But… not even a christian should lean on emotions. Our emotions belong to the flesh and can’t be trusted.
We all have up and down days according to circumstances we control and those we don’t. This is not evidence of our faith.
there is only one way to salvation, IMHO, and that is thru Jesus. However, peace can be found in many ways. Some thru worship of God, or nature. A person will find God many times according to how they were raised. I would rather be around a Buddaist who is a true buddist, than a person who is a christian only on sunday
