How can a Christian maintain their joy when living within a society of rude people?
The rudeness that I witness every day when going out into the public depresses me to the point that I sometimes just want to hibernate.
It’s everywhere, especially when people have to wait, weather it be in a line up or at the gas pumps, or in traffic. People do rude things and say rude things. R & S is just one example, but it is everywere.
So back to my question: How can we maintain our joy in a rude society?

For i say the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that will be revealed in us I remember this and think i will not let people get me down i will shrug it of and let them be hateful and my reward will be heaven where there is no rude people or hate just a place of joy, peace, love and of course Jesus.

If you let someone anger you then they have already won I don’t give anyone the pleasure of victory i just smile take it and move on then there are the ones that are more annoyed.

Always forgive your enemies nothing annoys them more So true and fun to do. Remember we are the better people the righteous will always find victory and that gives me joy.

If the rudeness is getting you down, that pray to God about it. Perhaps He will change your attitude and show you the way to handle it.

Well not to be rude, but where i live people are friendly from how people react with me. If you enter the R&S you should be ready for rude comments to be said though. Cause humans are not perfect and we do hurt other peoples feelings.

Keep The Lord Yeshua/Jesus as your Strength. Stand on The Inspired Word Of GOD. Nehemiah 8 (Amplified Bible)
10Then [Ezra] told them, Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet drink, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. And be not grieved and depressed, for the joy of the Lord is your strength and stronghold.

    Ephesians 6 (Amplified Bible)
13Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].

I know how you feel, I find it particularly oppressive sometimes here in R&S. I try my best to do unto my neighbour, even if my neighbour has no intentions of being in kind. Be patient, take a deep breath and know that that person is no better than you, even though they think they can act like it.

What a tremendous opportunity to let your light shine in a dark, dark place. When you allow Christ to shine forth in your life by being genuinely caring, kind, and considerate while everyone else is being rude and selfish, you have just preached the gospel by demonstrating the power that the Spirit has to transform a life so that we don’t respond on the same level that everyone else does. The toughest people to witness to are self-righteous people who appear to have it all together and think they don’t need God. We actually have the opportunity to make an impact by being an example of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, long-suffering, faithfulness, and self-control. You can be the kind of advertisement for the gospel that money can’t buy.
