What book has a character sneaking whiskey from a cup that has HAPPY JOYOUS and FREE on it?
I am trying to recall something I read in a book some years ago.
There was a character, maybe a preacher, sneaking a drink of whiskey from a coffee mug that had HAPPY JOYOUS and FREE on it (a popular AA saying). I can’t remember which book this was from. It could be a Stephen King book, or it may have been White Oleander.

It’s Stephen King, and the book is Desperation, the part where everyone is hiding out in the American West movie house.
